SOLD Rosebank 30 Year Old Single Malt Whisky 700ml (Boxed) (One Only On Allocation)
- Brand: Rosebank
Store: Swift + Moore
One of the world’s most sought after 30-year-old single malt scotch whiskeys. This is our last bottle of the Rosebank 30-year-old and we aren’t destined to receive another allocation of these beauties for the rest of this year.
Since 2017 Ian Macleod Distillers have been rebuilding and reviving the Rosebank distillery’s legacy on a site that had been derelict for almost 25 years. They are releasing expressions every year from casks that were laid down previous to the closure and mothball in the early nineties. We look forward to seeing what the new Rosebank distillery will produce in the years to come! The 30 Year Old is matured in a marriage of refill sherry butts and refill bourbon hogsheads and is the first release of this expression from Rosebank in a limited run of 4,350 bottles. Triple distilled in 1990, free from chill-filtration and bottled in 2020 at 48.6% ABV.
This product is on allocation and will arrive in Australia by March 20, 2022 (pending customs clearance). Winning bidder will receive updates on the delivery date.

30 years old
The history of Rosebank distillery in the town of Falirk dates all the way back to 1840. But with the global fall in sales of whisky during the nineties the distillery had to be mothballed and reduced in more recent years to a derelict site of crumbling buildings. Since 2017, Ian Macleod Distillers have been reviving the Rosebank legacy, releasing whisky that was stored from before the closure in preperation for the release of the first ‘new’ Rosebank whisky. This Rosebank 30 Year Old is matured in refill sherry butts and bourbon hogsheads as a first release of this annual expression in a limited run of 4,350 bottles. The spirit is triple distilled, left free from chill filtration and bottled with an ABV of 48.6%. On the nose are creamy floral notes with caramel wafer and fresh citrus. The palate is delicate and crisp, with a lovely balance of oak spice and a lingering finish of violet, orange and gentle mint. The Rosebank distillery was situated in Camelon on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal between Edinburgh and Glasgow. Its name originated after the roses which grew along the side of the canal.
