18 year old blended malt from the Kurayoshi range, created by the Matsui Shuzou distillery. Though not very well-known, Matsui Shuzou have created some rather marvellous expression for this series, made using malt whiskies from Scotland, transported over to Japan, blended with Japanese malt whiskies and brought down to bottling strength with volcanic-rock-filtered water.

Kurayoshi Whiskey Cask 18 Year 700ml Released in April 2016, the Kurayoshi Pure Malt 18 Years Old Whisky is a boutique Japanese whisky produced by the Matsui distillery. Located in Tottori, a coastal prefecture on southern Honshu, the whiskies produced by the Matsui distillery are characterised by aging with the pure underground waters of Daisen Mountains.
Bottled at 50% the Kurayoshi Pure Malt 18 Years Old Whisky is Scottish in style, with a complex and deep flavour. Sweet and spicy with malt overtones and an elegant finish of smoke.
Due to the boutique size of Matsui distillery there are limited stockists of Kurayoshi whisky outside of Japan. Nose: Malt flavor of puffed cereal and bread, a little of lemon peel, hint of dried grass and acridity.
Palate: Honey, lemon, candy taste, and malty flavor. Then coming with spices and dried straw flavor.
Finish: Small amount of sweetness that makes the reminiscent sense of wheat feeling, vanilla cream reminiscent, slight smoky.

Faulty products
For products purchased from Drinks Network that may be faulty, damaged (excluding damage caused by misuse), wrongly described or require recall, we will cheerfully refund your money, exchange or, where possible, repair or replace the product.Â
For some high value products, Drinks Network reserves the right to have the product assessed for acceptable quality prior to discussing a suitable remedy with you.Â
For products that cannot be assessed via conference call, we will arrange for the product to be sent to the manufacturer (or relevant agent) for assessment. It may be more convenient for you to liaise with the Vendor directly (which may be more time efficient) and can be achieved via Chat on our site. You certainly have that option. Our WeCare Support Team is happy to provide you with their relevant contact details to assist you.
We will ask you for valid proof of purchase when returning a faulty product. We will require the email address that you utilised for your purchase transaction. Some examples of acceptable proof of purchase are your original receipt, tax invoice, a credit card statement clearly showing your purchase at Drinks Network’s or your Drinks Network account statement which can be found in the My Purchases section in your account.Â

What we stand for?
If your purchase incurred a delivery fee, then we will also happily cover the cost of delivery for the return of a faulty product. We unfortunately do not provide refunds or returns for change of mind purchases.
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.Â
