Ailsa Bay brings whisky craft and innovation to a new level with its singular vision: to create a precision-distilled single malt, perfectly balanced between smoke and sweetness. A punch of peat is quickly balanced by a burst of vanilla oakiness, and the flavour meanders between smoke, fruit, creamy toffee and back again.

Ailsa Bay Single Malt 700mL With exacting precision, Ailsa Bay brings whisky-craft and innovation to a new level with its singular vision: The creation of a precision-distilled single malt, perfectly balanced between smoke and sweetness. The stills here are shaped the same as The Balvenie allowing William Grant & Sons to offer ‘Balvenie Style’ malt for Grant’s blends. Ailsa Bay is the first whisky to have an analysed measurement of sweetness identified. The whisky is defined as having 11 SPPM within it, which gives it the perfect balance between the peat and the sweetness.
Ailsa Bay contains 21 PPM, the precise measurement of the phenol content in parts per million, which is assessed prior to bottling and is also the only Scotch whisky to undergo ‘Micro Maturation’. The distilleries new make spirit is first filled into Hudson Bay Bourbon Casks that are between 25-100 litres in size for six to nine months to mature. They are then transferred into virgin, first fill and refill American oak casks for several years. The process the first of its kind within the Scotch whisky industry.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh cereal grains, golden syrup and fresh smouldering oak. Smoked bacon, caramelised apples and salted butter.
Palate: This ones a meat and smoke plate. Fruity, creamy and smokey with vanilla and balanced oak.
Finish: Spices of cinnamon and clove entangle with balanced sweetness and luxurious peat reek.

Returns and Refunds Policy
For products purchased from Drinks Network that may be faulty, damaged (excluding damage caused by misuse), wrongly described or require recall, we will cheerfully refund your money, exchange or, where possible, repair or replace the product.
For some high value products, Drinks Network reserves the right to have the product assessed for acceptable quality prior to discussing a suitable remedy with you.
For products that cannot be assessed via conference call, we will arrange for the product to be sent to the manufacturer (or relevant agent) for assessment. It may be more convenient for you to liaise with the Vendor directly (which may be more time efficient) and can be achieved via Chat on our site. You certainly have that option. Our WeCare Support Team is happy to provide you with their relevant contact details to assist you.
We will ask you for valid proof of purchase when returning a faulty product. We will require the email address that you utilised for your purchase transaction. Some examples of acceptable proof of purchase are your original receipt, tax invoice, a credit card statement clearly showing your purchase at Drinks Network’s or your Drinks Network account statement which can be found in the My Purchases section in your account.

What we stand for?
If your purchase incurred a delivery fee, then we will also happily cover the cost of delivery for the return of a faulty product. We unfortunately do not provide refunds or returns for change of mind purchases.
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
