Hayden Wood, popularly known as ‘Woody,’ is an internationally acclaimed bartender, author, and liquid culinary adventurer. Hailing from New Zealand and now based in Sydney, Australia, Woody boasts over 25 years of industry expertise, earning him global recognition and numerous prestigious awards.

With a passion for both educating and entertaining, Hayden has conducted over 600 team building workshops, captivating the hearts and palates of more than 20,000 aspiring home cocktail makers worldwide. His signature drink creations are celebrated for their elegant simplicity and exquisite flavors, endorsed by renowned figures like Sir Richard Branson and Oprah Winfrey, among others.

As an award-winning author, Hayden’s books have received international acclaim, with prestigious accolades such as The Gourmand World Media Awards for Best Book on Spirits globally. His cocktails have graced the palates of A-list celebrities like Madonna, Quentin Tarantino, Bono, Chelsea Clinton, and Prince Albert of Monaco, solidifying his position as a maestro of accessible mixology for the home enthusiast.

The Journey

July 2001
Founder Hayden Wood published his first book The Liquid Kitchen and then went on to write another 9 books on food and beverage.
November 2009
Founder is contracted to Food Network in New York to work with celebrity chef productions and product sales. He toured the USA for the next 4 years producing the worlds first food theatre touring entertainment model with Chef Guy Fieri.
May 2012
Established Drinks Network as a trading name in Australia producing video and published works for liquor brands.
March 2020
Noticing the increase in online sales and challenge from local producers, Hayden flips Drinks Network to a retail and events marketplace
January 2021
Drinks Network is launched as online marketplace in time for Australia Day signalling the rise of online liquor brands looking to access a new breed of drinkers.
June 2023
Drinks Network is wound up the eCommerce business seeing lower than expected profits.
November 2023
Drinks Network 2.0 is born fulfilling the high demand for quality staff from farm to glass in the Drinks industry.
